This allows a borrower to lock in at today's rate and float down to a lower rate if rates fall prior to closing.

Your First Equity loan officer will give you a "real" rate quote when you call, unlike some lenders who entice you with below market rate, then charge extra for a "lock" or charge extra for an "origination fee." We will also give you the rate quote and estimate of costs in writing if requested.
