Cash Out Refinance

Cash Out Refinance

This term means that the borrower is increasing his mortgage to pull equity out of the home for other purposes, such as paying off revolving debt. This may be advantageous in some instances because interest on a home mortgage is often deductible, whereas other types of consumer interest often are not. Other common reasons for a cash out refinance are home improvement, or to finance retirement or college.
